If you went to http://exploringtech.com at about 13.00 today, you would have noticed that we took the site offline for some unscheduled maintenance. Now, it’s time for the official explanation.If you’re an avid reader of Exploring Tech, you will probably know that it runs on the WordPress platform. Well, WordPress recently made an update to their software. So, as any good site would do, we upgraded to the latest version. Around the same time, we updated some of the plugins we had installed and, more importantly, our theme. Anyway, it turns out that WordPress and our theme didn’t want to play nicely, and they quickly hurled us into a frustrating spin involving a lot of PHP code and smashed keyboards. Anyway, we managed to get it all sorted out within an hour or so, and the site is back up.

So, aren’t you glad you don’t run Exploring Tech?
