Downtime
Jul 26th
Well, the entire Mulligan Media network has been down for the past few days, without any explanation whatsoever from our web host. Noting. Frankly, for us, this is unacceptable and, since this is not the first time we have experienced an extended outage without any reason whatsoever, we are looking into switching to a different host. So, if you know anywhere that provides reliable, cheap, feature-rich web hosting (preferably Australia based, but that’s not essential), please let us know in the comments.
We want to know who hosts your website, tell us in the comments!
WordPress vs RapidWeaver for a blog
Jul 22nd
Mulligan Media has just partnered with http://shaunr.net to create a podcast. More details on that another time, but we’re currently in the process of building the website, and that’s where we need your help. We’re avid users of WordPress, and we use it for (among other things) both this site and Exploring Tech. Anyway, our partner seems to dislike the big WP and is pushing for the use of RapidWeaver for the site. The problem we see with this is that RW is static HTML, and while we do not doubt it’s ability as a content creation tool, we think wordpress would be a better fit. What do you guys think?

Pre-Production has begun!
Jul 13th
We’ve started Pre-production on our very first Mulligan Media Short. This will be the first short film that we have ever done that will go through all the stages of pre-prod, production and post-prod with our own psedo-professional style. We’re in the early stages of idea development and scriptwriting, and we’re hoping to speed through to production and editing, but we’re not going to rush this one out the door. No, we’re going to take some time and do these films to the best of our abilities, so don’t look for the weekly turnover we were unable to sustain with Zero Budget. While we’re on that topic however, I might as well tell you that (if you hadn’t already noticed), Zero Budget has been put on Hiatus until such a time as we can develop a format that will allow us to create the show with an extremely short turnover. We did go a bit to ambitions with that one, something that we hope we’re not doing with Shorts. Anyway, we’ve decided that the only thing we can do is to try it, and if we fail, than we can rest in the knowledge that we’ve had some experience. So, in conclusion: Pre production has begun on our first short, and we’re hoping to make it a good one.

Mulligan Media Shorts is a podcast of short films. There is no real reason for its existence, except to provide a channel for delivery of our short films to your screen, and to provide you with an easy way to keep track of them. Stay tuned. More >

Exploring Tech Moved, New Design!

I’ve moved http://exploringtech.com over to the same server as Mulligan Media and Memozu, which makes a lot of things easier for me. Lucky for you though, this change also comes with a new design and some new features. Yay! Tell me what you think, and make sure to visit Exploring Tech.
